Social Psychology 2210  term assignments

There will be two mid term assignments/projects that are designed to encourage you to apply the theories we discuss in class to realistic examples.  In this course we stress the importance of supporting theories with experimental evidence and you will be given the opportunity to think through a small experiment to further your understanding the the relationship between evidence and theoretical claims.  Finally, social psychology can be applied to a variety of disciplines and you will be asked to design a "persuasive communication" (a print ad, tv spot, public information campaign etc) and, most importantly, to explain using the theories we discuss during the year why this persuasive attempt would be effective.
