One of the best ways to ensure success when writing a
paper is to outline in advance. I'm sure you've heard that many times and
that you often put a half hearted outline together to show your lecturers.
What I'm suggesting is that you prepare a DETAILED outline of every topic you
will discuss in the paper. If done correctly you should be able to use each
topic to write a topic sentence for each of your paragraphs. So, you
should outline your paper down to the paragraph level.
